What do you guys do during these care free summer months to keep busy when you are bored? I have no job and all of a sudden most of my friends are "busy". I know somebody will post bored.com but meh. Outside of going to the gym, what do you guys do to pass the time?

btw...

2000 post, woot. Took me long enough.

Take some summer classes.

Get some hours out of the way. :D

I did! :p But they finished at the beginning of July. Well school starts in less than a month anyway...

Wake up late.
Stretch.
Quick run.
Shower.
Price Is Right.

That right there takes me until Noon. Certainly you could find something to do until dinner?

my youth hasnt been wasted... trust me :D
Well, I sometimes find myself watching YouTube hours on end when there are such celebrities like LonelyGurl15 to keep me interested. :p

i try to learn new stuff. example. today i would borrow two dslr cameras (from friends who got them) and i would learn how to take pictures.

well, it is more getting to know the camera than learning to take pictures.

is that even possible to self-teach yourself how to learn to be a photograph?

i spent my weekend creating dvd menus on dvd studio pro.

i also spent some time of my weekend clicking mr and hoping to find rumors about august 7. found none! *grrr*

I try and get myself involved in learning new stuff on computers eg teaching myself Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash.

Also reading takes up a good amount of time.

Ultimately I will get a job.

between podcasts, working out, and casual sex with minors off myspace, my day is pretty jam packed with excitement.

Work on my graduate thesis.
Mow the lawn and tend to the garden a bit.
Work on my thesis some more.
Decide that most movies this summer are crap, and work on my thesis instead.
More thesis work.
Maybe a bit of sleep.
Watch my cat get all worked up over the plastic seal from a bottle of Starbucks.
Thesis.
Delve further into the depths of nerddom with the girlfriend (one word: Coldsnap).
Thesis.
Thesis.
Thesis.

Either learn stuff or volunteer your services to a charity. You obviously have the Internet so learning the basics of a new language is at your fingertips. If you're lucky you'll have a bargain bookshop in your area too, which are the best places to pick up books on conjugating verbs, english translation dictionaries etc.

But if you really want to do something that's rewarding, allows you to meet new people and helps you keep a routine, just volunteer for something. This one will also get you serious kudos when you go back to college :)
