Keeping info. in iTunes but on Hard Drive!

I have around 40gbs of movies and TV shows that I bought and ripped using hand brake! These are all currently on my portable Lacie Hard drive! Is there a way of keeping the movies on the hard drive but be abble to open them in iTunes so I can access them on an apple TV?

When your HD is plugged in, CTRL Click the movie and use "Open with-- iTunes." This should pull it up in the iTunes library and enable you to stream them to your tv.

Just for the legality of the thread, you do own said ripped videos correct?

Isnt there a link or shortcut to the drive you can put in the itunes folder that will work? What you said was a quick fix. I think he is more in it for the long run.

yeh I was planning on more of a shortcut than having to open them in iTunes every time!!!! Thanks

p.s I do own all the mentioned films!
