The iPhone operating temperature range is 32 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

So, if the iPhone is carried in a pants pocket it should be okay.

I found that the iPhone fits perfectly in a Bose "leather" in-ear headphones zipper case.

Question: Can the iPhone be in this case & carried in a pants pocket or does the iPhone need some air circulation for cooling?

Haha, I tried that about 5 months ago and it did fit perfectly.
The iPhone will survive. It's not like the case is airtight. You'll be fine. What do you think Cases are?

I have used iPhones for 2 years now. I live in Bakersfield. It's 94 degrees at night time here.

This is something that you don't have to worry about.

i created a case for my iphone that has a compartment in between the outside and inside of the case thats filled with dry ice... perfect!
