hi guys, i'm new here so i'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before but i have this idea of buying a 15 inch retina macbook :apple: and keeping it for more that 10 years and even longer, can that be done ?
i plan to take good care of it and my usage is very light, restricted to watching youtube videos, facebook and these kind of stuff
the air would be better but i need the bigger screen for watching movies

It's certainly possible. I wouldn't expect that machine to be receive software updates 10 years from now, so security may be an issue.

You should probably get into the habit of doing so. You don't need to upgrade to the newest Windows, but you should install the latest security updates every month. You can even set it to update automatically.

it just takes so long to install after downloading and when you restart the laptop, but thanks for the advice :)
