keeping powerbook and g5 synced

HI all,

I'm about to take delivery tomorrow of a dual 2.5 g5, and was wondering what the best way would be to keep these computers synced. I thought about Carbon Copy Cloning the users folder from one to the other but this might screw up either the powerbook or g5's settings, no? Can you even boot from powerbook OS on a g5?

Any help would be appreciated....
