My iPhone 5 suffers from very poor battery life, but when I have set it up as a new iPhone it is much, much better.

I'd like to set it up as a new iPhone and import all of my apps and data manually as I suspect that there is a rogue app/process somewhere in my environment that is cuasing the excessive battery drain.

The only thing that I canot work out how to import manually is my text (SMS) history. Is there a way of doing this, or is it only available if you restore the whole environment?
