Hi,
We've been having this problem for a while and can't seem to solve it.
When either my husband or I am setting up a new iOS device, at the part in the set up process where it asks you to enter your password for the family sharing organizer (?) it keeps asking for an old user id's password.
Some background, back when they started family sharing, I tried to start it as the organizer but it kept glitching and not syncing between the two accounts right. We had Apple reset it and my husband was able to successfully become the organizer. Then at some point in time between then and the iPhone 6s I changed my Apple ID user name. And now whenever we go to set up a new device it asks for the password from my old user ID for the App Store and iTunes as if my old user ID is the organizer.
Usually you can just skip that step, then enter the password after initial set up for the correct user ID (my husbands), and everything's fine. However, there's been a few times where it will stop downloading iCloud data part way through and say it can't finish because the password is wrong. It's anybodies guess what didn't get downloaded until you try to use an app and it keeps crashing.
Beyond this, our family sharing works fine.
Any ideas? I'm not even sure where to start with trying to get Apple to figure it out.
