Hello everyone,

I'm a new mac user(10 days today)! So far loving it! :)

But one things i can't figure out is that after a few minutes of inactivity my mac asks me to introduce my password to enter my session.

I went to the system preferences and i desactivate the screen saver and i put going to sleep to never for both battery power and power adapter.

Seems like it doesn't work.

I tried also to change the setting require password after x minutes in security but it keeps going back to immediately.

I have a long password and it bothers me to have to enter it everytime i leave my mac for a few minutes.

Any advice?

Thanks :)

Check your Energy Saver settings in System Preferences, as your Mac may be entering sleep mode after a period of inactivity. Also, you can use Caffeine to temporarily override your Energy Saver settings and keep your Mac awake.

I already did that with the saving energy preferences but it didn't seem to work. I installed cafeine and it looks like it working perfectly. Thanks! :)
