Most of his site is an opinion piece... not that there's anything wrong with that. Just as long as the reader understands it's one person's 'take' on things, and not the gospel.

I couldn't get past the first part of this article. Too many points that I think are completely wrong. Saying photography was started by a Hobbyists is a really bad argument. Nipiece was an inventor just like he stated and invented the process of photography, there were no big photo corporations operating at the time because there was no photography! Just such a lame way to start his argument in my mind. Also he talks about it being a mans hobby like hunting, has he looked at the wedding and portrait world lately? More women than men I would guess.

Anyway, maybe there was some good info at the end, sorry but I couldn't get past the first section
