I'm thinking of getting a Kensington Car charger Deluxe to charge and play my iphone in my car. When I use my old iPod dock I get a whirring noise (that i do not get when using the iPod) that coincides with engine RPM. Because the old dock does not charge my iPhone I am loking for another dock. Is there a discussion of dealing with that interference?

Yes. Do a search for a post I made on this. You need a ground loop isolater. I bought a nice one that worked perfectly for $20 bucks from Crutchfield, but others said the Amazon link to the Kensington had a number you could call to get Kensington to sen you one for free. I'd try that one and see how it performed first before paying for the other one.

I have the Kensington dock and no isolator and I don't hear a whirring noise. Although I have heard of some people needing one... maybe I am blissfully oblivious. :D

It all depends on the car you have. Its an issue with the car, not the charger.
