I was booting into windows by parallels and then I got my first kernal panic, my music froze the screen went dark and it said "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button or press the restart button" So I did and rebooted and now its all slow and the backlight is dark and I have tried pressing F2 to light it back up but nothing..

Was this your first time using parallels on this machine?

Something is funny.

I've had a lot of users coming to me with the same issue (it happened to me too). It's always a KP and it's always because of the Parallels kernel extension. So, I download the same version that I currently have installed and install it again. And everything works great and no more KPs. I have no idea what happened, maybe one of the security updates recently has done it.
