I'm trying to install a retail version of Leopard on an iBook G4. I get as far as after the restart...on restart, a kernal panic...
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00....): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"Powerbook6,5\....

Thinking it was an issue with the old system or HD, I connected it to my MBP via target disk and formatted the drive...didn't fix it...same problem.

The install will NOT let me install from an Intel to PPC via target disk (it requires the drive to be a GUID Partition and such a drive will not work as a start-up disk for PPC.) I'm assuming I can't install from Intel to PPC because the install disk is opening under the Intel version of Leopard and won't install such a version on a PPC, of course. So, I'm stuck.

I can see the drive on the iBook and it verifies with not faults on the HD.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
