Kernal Panic when sharing an iPhone - USB - MBP - WiFi Hotspot

I was attempting a simple experiment by using an iPhone 4 in Hotspot running over USB (WiFi off, not jailbroken, iOS 4.3.1) to a 13" MBP OSX 10.6.7 and simply running OSX sharing (iPhone to WiFi). As soon as the sharing starts I would get this on the screen.

Every time I tried it died.

Did you boot into the 64 bit kernel for SL?

Hi Xev. Hmm, yes. I ran software ages ago to enable the 64 bit mode by default.

That’s probably your problem. Boot into default 32 bit mode.
