my two-month old macbook had a faulty hard drive, which apple replaced under warranty. i got it back earlier this week and i'm noticing the following -
- i'm having regular kernel panics
- the fan will suddenly kick in at full-whack for no apparent reason
- activity monitor is showing 70-80% CPU usage, which seems to be solely taken up by the kernel_task process.
anyone got any ideas? i'm not sure if i have the strength to deal with apple's appalling aftercare service again...
