Since installing a new Samsung SSD (1TB EVO) last week and then upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mavericks, I'm getting kernel panics once a day or so that cause my 2011 MacBook Pro to shut down and restart automatically. Often this happens when the computer is idle and I'm not doing anything. I'm attaching a PNG of the most recent failure notification. I'm not too savvy at parsing out the code; is there any way to tell from this whether the new SSD or perhaps a shaky installation of Mavericks is at fault?

Thanks!

Thanks. I do have TRIM enabled. I may try zapping the P-RAM as you suggest. I initially tried to do a clean install, but the USB boot stick I made didn't work as expected, so I reverted to doing a clean install of SL then "upgraded" to Mavericks. (I'm still not sure I consider it an improvement!)
