I have a new Mac Studio that kernel panics every time it sleeps for more than a couple of hours or so. If I'm reading the log right, it seems to be having a problem with DisplayPort. I have a 2nd older monitor plugged into the studio via a DP to USB C cable (worked fine on my intel iMac I replaced). Searching the forums, I have seen that the M1 Macs have had problems with 2nd monitors going to sleep, but nothing recent in the forums. I'm running macOS 12.6. Is this an ongoing issue or do I have a hardware error? I'm willing to work around a software issue but don't want to miss my return window if I got a bum unit.

Thanks.

I'll note this here in case someone has the same problem:

I moved the secondary monitor to the HDMI port and the kernel panics during sleep have stopped over the last few days. I know some folks are successfully using Display Port connections with M1, so there must be an odd variable in my setup. I think it's pretty clear from searching forums that M1 isn't going to or doesn't yet have the same range of older technology compatibility that we had with Intel....which makes sense with a new architecture.
