Heres what I have:

17" MBP i7 4GB Ram

Rosewill RSV-S5 5 Bay Enclosure

5x 1.5TB Segate HDD's

Sonnet's Tempo SATA ExpressCard/34

My Problems:

(I'll try and explain this as clearly as i can because normally I'm bad at it)

Ok so I set up the Array with 4 Drives in a RAID 10 via Disk Utility

I placed a video clip into the Array.

I Opened Final Cut Pro with out any problems.

I attempted to import that clip into FCP and as soon as I select the Array from the list of Storage Devices to chose from it Kernel Panics.

I tried again but this time I selected a copy of the same clip that is located on my Desktop and it imported just fine with out any glitches or problems.

At this point I would say its the Array right?

Heres the Kicker.

I opened up iMovie and was able to successfully import and manipulate the clip that is located on the ARRAY.

I tried just a RAID 1 with two drive located in the array. Same out come. Worked in iMovie and Kernel Panics in FCP.

I also tried one of those ThermalTake two slot Docks and same out come.
Worked in iMovie and Kernel Panics in FCP.

So now my question is:

Now it seems like a FCP problem.

Anyone have an idea of the cause of this problem?

And do you think a reinstall of FCP will fix this?

Thanks, Tim
