anyone know what could cause a kernel panic to the point the computer wont even boot from CD? ive tried multiple hard drives and RAM sticks, when i boot with no hard drive i get flashing folder, when i try to do ANYTHING else, i get the restart computer error. ive replaced the heatsink and fan, reseated the airport card, out of ideas..any help please? thanks.

What does the actual kernel panic say? Boot in verbose mode by holding command-v and you'll be able to see it.

Instead of reseating the Airport card, try completely removing it. A bad RAM slot can do this, and booting from an OS that's too old can also cause this.
