I was having problems with my MacBook for a while (was getting panics after just a few seconds of being on the desktop, if I ever got that far), and I was waiting for 10.5 so that I can do a wipe and install, which I did. But when I tried to install, it said there was an error that it couldn't write a .pkg file to the hard disc and I needed to start again (The disc was already wiped by then, can only now attempt to install the new OS). After two attempts it worked, but then when it was about 31% it died with the kernel panic screen popping up.

After that I can't boot from disc as it give me a kernel panic when I try, and letting it run doesn’t help as when I get to the blinking folder and push the disc in it dies as well.

Any idea on what I can do about this?
