Kernel Panic when installing Lion Recovery Update

I successfully installed Lion 10.7.2 but when I try to install the Recovery Update the Screen goes black and a Box appears telling me to hold down the Power Key to reboot my mac. I believe this is what is called a Kernel Panic. I tried finding a solution on Apples Website but to no avail.
Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix this?
Should I just skip the recovery update?
Is there something wrong with my Hardware (please say no )

Same Thing Happened To ME!!

am I supposed to be worried? same thing happened to me.

also after I reboot my macbook, my guest account which wasn't supposed to be available for any access, was there as one of the option of users.

did you find any answers about this issue? THANKS.
