Just experienced my third kernel panic in about a week: Mac G5 w/2 x 2.5 GHz processors. Fortunately, nothing seriously damaged.
On another front, Leopard decided it wouldn't mount my firewire disk (160 GB Maxtor) on the G5 - this only a day after I ran the disk utility to repair permissions. Oddly, my MBP mounted it just fine, but mentioned that it was having problems (forget the exact message) and recommended I copy the data off and reformat, which I did. All is fine now, but ...
Anyone else out there seen these behaviors on a G5?
My MPB seems top run just fine (even if it feels a bit slower than 10.4, Mail excepted). My sense is that more QA went into the Intel hardware.
Thanks in advance
