Hey guys,

My friend upgraded the RAM on his Mid-2009 13" MBP and now Safari keeps closing randomly and he had experienced some kernel panics.

New RAM is DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM 4GB PC3-10600 from "Apotop" (never heard of them) but he's still having the panics even after getting a replacement (same make and model replacement).

What to do ? Can he get a file that explains the reason of the panis or something ?

Is 1333Mhz even supported ? I know the official ones are 1066Mhz but people on these forums swore that 1333Mhz works fine...

The panics do stop with the old RAM. Can you confirm that 1333Mhz RAM works with 09' MBP (doesn't matter if underclocked to 1066Mhz) ?

Yes, i have a Mid-2009 13" MBP. I tested many ram's as some 1333 Mhz work and some don't. Don't have any idea as to why it happens. Currently i have installed one 4GB DDR3 1066 & 2GB DDR3 1333. It works even though its mixed config. I would suggest getting samsung or transcend ram
