Hey,

I've recently bought a new 27" iMac.

Can you please tell me if it's normal that "Kernel task" always consumes at least 1 GB of my RAM? Sometimes it's even more than that, but seems that 1GB is the minimum.

As far as I remember, it was much less than that in my older, non-Mountain-Lion system.
