kt is supposed to be part of OS X &among other cools cpu etc, by offloading-slowing the computer in diff situations one being faulty temp sensor(in addition to fan cooling)
However faulty MBPro spins fans just the same when HDD is disconnected (when boot produces the '?' sign or for example Internet Recovery operation)
with spin probably controlled by boot rom or smc firmware.Is it possible offloading is also done from firmware,and if not where does k_t or whoever in charge of offloading get/read the temp values from?
