So kernel_task always uses around 500MB of memory. Have tried doing a SMC reset and restarted it, but it didn't help.
Created a guest account and logged on to it. The kernel_task didn't use any memory here. So I assume the problem is only on my account. But any idea how I find out what is the cause on my account?
