Okay, so, this may take a while.

This evening I had a weird crash after a video ran audio only, no visuals. I used terminal to reset VCD assistant, finding that had helped me in the past, and when that didn't work I restarted Finder and Dock through KillAll. Finder seemed to only half-restart and then didn't finish. So, I told my coputer to restart, and it closed everything except TextEdit, which for some reason kept pop-upping with a message that it could not close. Since it was literally the only thing left open on my computer I said 'screw it' and held down the pwoer button until the machine turned off.

The machine has not successfully rebooted since.

THings that do not work:

Resetting the NVRAM
Starting Mac in Safe Mode - wheel spins forever.
Starting Mac in Verbose Mode - runs through boot until "pci pause sdxc", hanging presumably forever.
Starting Mac in Single User Mode (Same problem as above)

I can get into Recovery Mode, but here is what I cannot do:

I cannot reinstall Mavericks because it says the Disc is locked. I cannot go into Disc Recovery and unlock the disc because Disc Recovery Doesn't say the disc is locked.

I cannot validate the disc because it says I have "invalid record count.' I get repair the disk because it says I can't do that (useless.)

I have picked up that maybe possibly maybe it has to do with having had Little Snitch installed on my machine, or that it may be a problem with corrupt kext files in general, but even though I have gone through terminal and into the kext Extentions folder, I can't delete a damn thing in there because it says my Hardrive is read-only. (I also don't see any Little Snitch kext files in the folder, but I do see "LS (4092) : Little Snitch started" in Verbose launch, and shortly thereafter is when the system pauses.

Any help?

EDIT: I DID find the LittleSnitch.kext files (looking in wrong library folder) but I do not know how to delete it because it still sayd my drive is read-only.
