I'm looking at a MacBook air A1466 for a coworker. All of the keys work except the top row of letters "q-o" the p key works. When pressing any of the other top row keys it will either do nothing or have a bunch of random characters come up like ==}\. I already took the back cover off and the battery is not swollen, which I was reading was a common problem causing the battery to push on the keyboard. Are these know for keyboards just going out? She said it just started happening one day. Thanks.

I haven't heard or seen anything in particular on those failing.. I've had 2 and the only reason the first one failed was because I dumped a big glass of wine in it... Trusty machines these are IMO... Perhaps something got spilled in it or something?.
