Hi all,
I have a late 2013 model 21.5" iMac running Yosemite version 10.10.5. My issue is that occasionally after the display goes to sleep (I have it set not to let the computer enter full sleep mode because I frequently run programs overnight), the keyboard and mouse completely stop working. I first noticed the problem while running a CPU-intensive script (using all 8 virtual cores for about a week), but it's since happened multiple times when I had nothing open overnight other than firefox. It also happened with only Safari and a few other low-intensity things open (mail, ichat, etc).
A few other things might be worth noting. The keyboard is a mac USB keyboard, slightly older than the computer (This one: http://www.staples.com/Apple-Keyboa...oWc9dfzmr0NzlwjGE0OnaQaAq1I8P8HAQ&kpid=164094 )
and the mouse is a microsoft optical mouse, although it's happened with another mouse and another keyboard (although the same model of keyboard). The mouse is plugged into the keyboard, which is plugged into the computer, but it also happened with the mouse plugged directly into the computer.
Any tips are welcome, thanks for reading!
