Keyboard and Mouse not recognized

After having my Mac Pro shut down for some time when I restarted my wireless keyboard and mouse are not recognized. I tried replacing batteries, bought a new keyboard and mouse and tried connecting a USB optical mouse and nothing is working.

I have done a SMC reset on the logic board, turned off and unplugged the machine for some time and still no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Running 10.7.5
