This morning my Macbook Pro was functioning great. I turned it back on this afternoon, and I can't get passed the log on screen because my keyboard and mouse aren't working anymore. I've tried attaching a usb mouse, and it doesn't work either. I took it to the Apple Store, and their exact words were "wow, that IS weird". They said I should spend the $310 to do the flat rate repair since it could be a problem with the logic board. Slightly mad about that since they replaced my logic board less than a year ago for a different issue, and I kinda expected it to last a bit longer....also expected a bit more of an intelligent answer from the genius bar.
The flat rate is definitely a cheaper option than spending the $700+ labor to replace the logic board myself, but I still won't have the money for at least a month, so I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone has had similar problems to get a better idea of what is wrong with it. If it's something I can fix myself in the meantime, I will gladly try more troubleshooting options. I just don't know how to do that without a way to communicate with the computer...any ideas?
