Where I am
Morning\Afternoon\Evening all,

Do you happen to own a Logitech Keys keyboard and an MX Master mouse, connected via Bluetooth to your Mac Mini M1?
If so, do you notice a slight stuttering from time to time, while using the mouse?

I saw another post talk about stuttering. But, that was on a 2018 Mac Mini. I did however just try the recommendation posted there, "Reset the Bluetooth module". Let's see if that makes a difference.

Any other suggestions? Thanks

I have the MX Keys and MX3 Mouse on my 2018 Mac Mini and while I primarily get stuttering or just bluetooth (set to computer 3 on my setup) drop every other day, I set computer 1 to the dongle anyway which then works fine.

I was hoping the new M1 Mac Mini foxed BT interference from attached hard drives (likely culprit in my case) but I guess not.

I even get stutter with the Magic Trackpad 2. It happens when I set my iPad with Apple Pencil nearby the Mac Mini. When the iPad is away, it does not happen. Definitely bluetooth signal interference. A restart fixes it and I don't need to move the iPad. Very interesting

Random stuttering with version 1 trackpad here. I have a Logitech K380 keyboard without any problems.

Hmm, now that is bloody interesting...

I have M1 Mac Mini (Big Sur 11.2.1) with Logitech MX Keys. No issue whatsoever, connected through the included usb dongle. Haven't tried connecting it through bluetooth on the M1 Mac Mini but i do connect the MX Keys to my MacBook Pro Retina (Catalina 10.15.7) through bluetooth without any issues at all. Even the switching is fast (You can easily switch between devices on the MX Keys).

No wake up issue, no lag, no disconnect, no issues at all.

Right, as others have report, there does not seem to be issues with using the dongle. It is over Bluetooth that is seems to be inconsistent.

Comments like "early adopters, are so annoying.
At least if there is an issue, users posting and sharing with the manufactures, can at least aid in getting a resolution...

Early adopters....
Should have known exactly what they got into...
It’s the same for any early adopter.
Unless you fail to understand history...
Seems to be a thing now...
Suck it up, that is the way it goes diving In head first...

no matter what company it is.

As an engineer, I think they have some io issues at the pcb level, that software will not 100% fix.

I could be wrong, time will tell...

Not to segway too far from the original threads point. But, I do feel one needs early adopters.
As you know yourself, manufactures do not 'test' everything properly, and often need consumers to do real world tests for them. Then, based on the issues they come across, deploy a patch or fix.

All that to say, "Someone has to test it in the real world...". Thus, early adopters are needed. And, some of us that are bringing issues to light, are not complaining, merely sharing and confirm that there really is an issue, versus it being a PEBKAC...

M1 MBA and M1 Mac Mini owner, with MX Master Keys and Mx3 mouse, same stuttering issue, I use the dongle on my Mac Mini and my work dell(Defense, BT disabled), and I use bluetooth with my company windows laptop, Bluetooth is flawless to my windows machines and my Logitech mouse/keyboard, but they stutter in Bluetooth on my Macs, so I have to use the dongles. My Magic Mouse 2 does work fine on my MBA and Mac mini though.

Yep I had this with my 2017 and 2020 MBP. Turn off handoff and I found that to significantly improve my MX mouse. Make sure bluetooth isn't open looking for devices - that makes the Logitech keyboard/mouse go nuts.

Really frustrates me because they work fine with my Windows machines but unless I turn off handoff, they act horrible on my Macs.

I have a Microsoft mouse with a usb dongle and the issue is severe enough to make it unusable. Was coming in thinking of buying a bluetooth mouse but now I am confused.

Ever since 2012 with USB 3.0, I have been having this problem and i thought it was always there and used an usb extension cable to put the mx dongle as close as possible to the mouse and been using wired keyboard with no problem. Apple trackpad is glitchy so i stopped using it.

For the wireless keyboard and mouse stuttering, it's not an early adopter problem, it's a tech design flaw right from the start that just appears to affect smaller machines more problem cos they can't shield it as well. Even my NUC has this problem. I think bluetooth is 2.45ghz.

I guess the problem will go away with a USB-C wired mouse ? Anyone?

I love my M1 Air but it's a little bit of a bummer not to be able to use a wireless mouse with it and while I prefer the trackpad for almost everything it is just not fast enough for competitive chess.

Hmm, rather interesting. I had planned to go a purchase a MX Master 3. Then, use a Logitech mouse and keyboard via the dongle, on my Mac, and a separate keyboard and mouse for my Windows PC.

But, this is now giving me even more pause. Ugh...!

For my case on a mini, i extend the usb dongle a distance away from the mini and its been working well from 2012 till now, mx, mx2, mx2s.

For macbook air, it would look silly to extend a dongle or use a wired mouse indeed.

I just installed my new M1 Mac Mini, and I currently use the MX Master 2S, and ERGO K860 with the Logi dongle/receiver. No issues so far. I didn't even try to connect directly to the bluetooth as it limits you on a few features you get with the dongle with this setup.

Lovely setup! As a matter of fact, I am now connected with my Logitech Keys keyboard and MX Master, via the dongle (borrowed it from my Windows PC). And, NO stuttering or anything!

Now the challenge is do I merely purchase another mouse and keyboard setup for my Windows PC, or struggle with Bluetooth. Hate to 'throw' money at an issue...

Update:
We might just have had a breakthrough...
Logitech Keys keyboard and MX Master (original) connected to PC, via a unified dongle
Logitech Keys keyboard and MX Master (original) connected to Mac, via ANOTHER unified dongle.

Thus far, no stuttering of the mouse on the Mac Mini. Looks like the Mac Mini gets to live and fit another day. I will test both, using the keyboard and mouse via Windows and Mac, over the coming days.

PS: The trick is to install the Unified Software on BOTH Windows and Mac, and configure the items that way. Initially, on the Mac, connect with Bluetooth, to thus use the items. Then install the software configure and connect, then delete the items from Bluetooth.
