Hello
I just like to introduce myself with the first post.
As you see below I just got into the os x world.

With my MBP I wonder what mouse and keyboard to get as I have also to work in a VM a lot because of CAD. At the moment(on windows PC) I use an Intellimouse explorer3 mouse and a standard keyboard. Due to using a lot of keyboard shortcuts and the 5 point mouse(explorer3) I am not sure how to proceed. The mac keyboard has quite a different KB layout and a Mac mouse has very few options.
Any suggestions as how I could solve this is very much appreciated.Do any other mouse and KB work as good? Any brands that would be particularly good?

Thanks
MT

As for the mouse, I've heard OUTSTANDING things about the Logitech MX Revolution. It has tons of buttons and, using the provided software, it is totally customizable, so you truly can do whatever functions you want with it. I can't help you much with the keyboard. Sorry!

Thanks guys, that gives me something to go.
They do look like hold plated(price)

had both the nano and the revolution.

The revolution feels so much better and the layout of the buttons feels more natural. My two cents!

If you like ergo, the new logitech kb out is nice.

I have sorted the mouse with the drivers for explorer 3, a five point mouse I have been using for the last few years.
Now, with the keyboard all seems to be a bit more difficult. I have a genius kb 29e on the PC and with some luck there might be other drivers that are compatible with os x and xp???
Let's see.
Thanks for all your efforts.
