I had this issue a few times with my old mbp and the retina one (had it on 10.8 and mavericks).
maybe 1/10 times when I connect a usb device my trackpad and keyboard become unresponsive. Sometimes putting it to sleep will work, but most of the time it doesn't and I have to hard reboot to get them to work.
the boot time isn't annoying it's the fact that I lose whatever unsaved projects I have opened unless I have a mouse to hook up to it (strangely when ever I hook one up and move it, the trackpad works again).
Losing apps and videos I'm editing is super annoying. Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix for it?
