keyboard and trackpad problem

Ok so I was working on my MB yesterday and I tried to put in a dvd and it wouldnt budge, (wouldn't go into the slot) so the first thing i thought was, "I probably forgot to take out the first dvd", i hit eject, nope nothing in there so then i go to click on itunes, and i realize that my trackpad isnt working =[ so i put in my external mouse, click on spotlight, try typing something, nope not working so i hit the power button, (it works) and click restart, nothing, I've tried everthing i could think of. and that includes the keyboard to the connector to those who have opened their MBs

any ideas?
