Keyboard backlight and Scrolling Issue w/ Vista 64

Hey guys I have a 17in 2.5ghz MBP with the 512MB 8600m GT and I recently installed Vista 64 Home Basic.

When I boot in Vista my keyboard backlight turns on and off very slowly. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Also is there anyway to modify 2 finger scrolling speed? Vista makes scrolling feel so choppy.
