Is this normal? It was like this when I purchased it, everything else is perfect with my MBP, so I didn't want to trade it in for something that is mostly aesthetic. I guess I could applecare it, but not sure it's really worth it.
 
Yeah, I think there is obviously a "sidewall" barrier between the grill area and keyboard, guess mine has a hole in it.

There is piece of black plastic sticker on the bottom of the keyboard; you're might have tear or it's peeling off a bit; no biggie.

That's not normal I'm afraid. It depends if small things annoy you, it would annoy me but that's me. I think mines is what their supposed to be like. When did you buy it?

there is a liner of "black electrical tape" around the edges of the keyboard. this holds it in place, as well as keeps the light from seeping through.

What ive done is take the topcase off, and put my own blacktape there. Simple, yet effective.

dont use orange tape! i did that, put it back together, and could see ALL OF IT through the grill, i was not happy :)
