My backlight on my Macbook Pro 2.2ghz (June 2007) is not completely dead, but it looks like its about to die. Can someone tell me how I can fix this or what the problem is?

Also, would replacing the keyboard fix this? I never looked at the keyboard when opening up my mac, so I don't know if the lights are attached to it or not.

I'm just mad because this problem started right after Apple Care expired in september.

I'm curious... how much did you use your keyboard backlight??? I was just wondering as I never use mine because i don't want it to die out in a few years when i actually might need it.... Thanks....

I got it in September 2007 and I always had the lights automatically set by the ambient light sensor. So, it was typically on high at night.
