keyboard backlight uneven

i have a 2013 macbook air. i noticed the backlight was very uneven so i replaced both the keyboard and backlight with new. still have the same problem the 9,i,j,m keys see very bright but nothing else. So i removed the new backlight , reinstall the logic board and ran the machine with the back light output plugged in All 5 LEDS light up , so can any one tell me if they are lighting why would it still be un even ? thanks

Welcome to planet apple. The backlight on these machines is border line useless. SO much light escapes around the keys. Do a pram/smc reset to be safe but other than that, if all the lights are coming on you're seeing what you will get.
