Keyboard Backlight w/ iTunes Media Keys

got a new MacBook Pro recently and just now noticing something pretty odd...

if iTunes is playing and I hit the play/pause key (F8) the entire keyboard will go dark, but only if I'm pausing. it doesn't do it when I'm hitting the button to resume a song, only when I'm using it to pause one. the backlight sometimes takes minutes to come back on, at random, and sometimes it doesn't and I just have to turn it back on myself.

update: I've found that it's not just the shortcut keys — the backlighting turns off even when I go into iTunes and press the spacebar to pause or just press the actual button in iTunes. pretty odd, haha.

any ideas?

strange.. i have the same problem..
I got my macbook pro also in the last 2 weeks..
But i was thnking if this error is because of a program called iSpazz (http://www.keindesign.de/stefan/Web/Sites/iWeb/Site/iSpazz.html)

Did you install this??

Because i installed this, then the program was not working..then i uninstalled..then this strange thing started to happen i think..
when playing pause or space, lights are going for some seconds..
