Keyboard backlight with Windows XP SP2 on bootcamp

After installing the bootcamp drivers the backlight will never turn off...I imagine this to be a problem for many but is there any known fix to this issue? The light, even on dim drives me absolutely nuts. Thanks.

BTW Leopard is on 10.5.8 but I doubt that matters since I'm running in XP with boot camp. Bootcamp application in XP is version 2.1

send a note to Apple since they wrote the drivers for bootcamp
