keyboard backlights come on while on sleep (2016 15")

Not sure this is unique to the 2016 15", but when I put it to sleep, once the fans shut down, the backlighting on the keyboard comes on for a few seconds and turns off, then keeps coming on again.

Running 10.2.2, stock 256 version, 450 graphics, etc.

Any ideas?
