Useful? Very. The cost of a new logic board is around $750 if you spill liquid on the computer. Touch? It's fine.

If you're going to get a cover, get a TPU cover.

Does a keyboard cover take away from the keyboard feel? Yes. After hearing horror stories about spills ruining a Mac, a keyboard cover was an easy decision.
