Ive been using the moshi keyboard cover lately and always have been needing to clean it. The covers would go on the glass and imprint key marks on the screen... I know i can just keep my keyboard cover clean and wipe my screen but wouldn't this be bad in the long run? I mean, yeah the dirt/oil would wipe off but isnt the screen slowly 'deterioriating' the screen every imprint at a time? whether its visible or not?

From what you're telling us, I think it's doing bad than good. If it's one of those silicone covers then it might be doing bad. Dust and dirt tend to creep in the crevices since silicone moves when you type.

I suggest not covering it anymore. Just invest on a good non-alcohol based cleaning liquid to do general clean-up when needed. They have these at the Apple Store.

I hope this helps. :)

i've got the same issue, though not as bad as you have described it to be.
i just feel the need to clean the cover frequently. why would it deteriorate the screen in the long run?
