I've noticed my keyboard on my mid-2012 Macbook Pro is having odd delays lately.
What's essentially happening is that if I don't use the keyboard for a period of time (how long, I don't know), it appears to go into 'sleep' mode, wherein starting to type won't immediately start typing, but rather it takes time to 'boot up'.
Not terribly problematic, but annoying nonetheless. Like if I'm trying to type a password, it won't 'boot up' for a bit, then skip the first few letters that I typed and only type the last few.
Same with the F-controls. If I try to change volume or anything, it won't do it immediately, but rather do it in quick succession after it 'boots up'.
What's the issue here?
