Keyboard Dictation "muted"

Using the latest public release on an iPhone 13 Pro, after tapping the microphone on the bottom right nothing happens then a "muted microphone" icon pops up where the text is supposed to go. I do not get the waveform animation as I used to when talking.

Has anyone experienced this? Any fix?

I too am having this exact ISSUE - come on people - we need help here...

OK FIXED IT - changed US keyboard to UK keyboard - dictation listened to that keyboard
