Hello, I have a question regarding the keyboard illumination on my MacBook Pro. When i go to illuminate the keyboard, the on screen icon appears and tells me the keyboard is lighting up, however nothing actually happens on the keyboard. The keyboard does not light up, while on screen I can adjust the brightness (of course it says i'm adjusting it but nothing happens). Ive checked my system preferences and updated and reinstalled all the updates several times. Im running 10.4.11.
I've heard it has to do with reinstalling the OS or something.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

if your increasing the brightness of the keyboard lights and the graphic on the screen acknowledges this but they arent turning on i would think that they are broken. take it in to get checked out.

this is just an assumption though. try resinstalling Tiger to see if it fixes it.
