i have a tab off the key base of my 13” 2014 rMBP causing the key to stick up on one side more than the other.

I have a dead 2010 15” rMPB with what you’d think is the same keyboard.

Nope. The scissor base is different and can’t be used. :( In the case anyone else runs into this, FYI these keyboards LOOK identical, but they are not. Now i have to find a dead macbook of the same year and size to get a key base.

Bare in mind the keyboards of the same model and year also have two different key bases AP08 and AP11 (for some reason also known as AC06 and AC07), i knew that already but this is NEITHER ONE. So if you are looking to replace a key and think the 08 and 11 are the only ones, there are more.
