Keyboard Issue

I recently upgraded to OS 10.9.4 on MacBook Pro worked fine. Later I was trying to synch android camera-samsung to Mac and lost the ability to type FRV4 I have looked at the preferences and all hints from Apple. An external keyboard works fine. I then reloaded the computer from a blank drive and the problem is still there. What to do?
I now have a desk top computer instead of a laptop

Your keyboard is connected to the same USB controller as one of the USB ports. If the device you plugged in happened to have damaged the controller, the keyboard would stop working.

I'd suggest taking it to Apple to see if they can confirm the issue and give you a quote on the repair.

Keyboard Issue

Thank you for the suggestion. That is quite possible because I was connected by USB to my Mac Book Pro to a Samsung Camera that is also a little mini computer. However it is only this one row of keys that do not respond. Now It is essentially a desktop(notebook with usb keyboard) Ah-flash I am going to try plugging the keyboard into another USB Thank you
