Hi,
there have been reports about the 2017 MBP keyboards being changed from the error prone 2016 MacBook Pro Keyboards.

Well, that is not entirely true. Two days ago, I received a brand new 2017 MacBook Pro 15" with Touchbar and I found keyboard issues with it. I recorded a video documenting the findings for you.

The issue occurs when typing any words involving the letters "i" or "k".

Seeing this after only two days of use is rather disturbing for a 3000€ machine. I will probably have to return it. :(

I am a bit at loss with this. I cannot hear any reasonable difference. Unless you have keys malfunctioning (sticky keys etc), I would not worry about it. If it prevents you from sleeping at night, just return the MBP and get a refund and buy a different model.

I have yet to experience any issue with my 2017 MBP keyboard. I am not saying that they won't occur but for now I don't worry about this until it happens.

I can definitely hear it towards the end. But I think that's different from the popping and the inability of people to actually press down their keys, no?

Eh, it was the same for my dGPU issues on the 2012 and 2015 models. I experienced them, it was hard to catch, and people just don't believe you. If they get worse, return it ASAP and don't be like those people with the 2016 models who had to only deal with swapping models every week.

Noone is reporting a similar issue here, so I assume it is my machine and will return it. This notebook is perfect otherwise. Every time I type something which involves the letter "i" I hear that annoying sound.

I cannot hear an issue in the video, personally. But if this bothers you, you have every right in the world to return it.

This is an example of the sticky keys when pronounced

I'm at a loss. I frankly don't hear it either, and the second video OP posted confuses me even more. Maybe if he wasn't going so fast at it? lol...I don't know..agree with ZapNZs, return it if you don't like it.
