Keyboard issues

I am thinking of buying a Macbook 12 inch (2018 model) and a MBP 15 (2018 model). I've been reading some issues with the keyboard. Is this problem still existing?

The butterfly keyboard in the current set of Mac laptops is defective. Apple has a repair program for the 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pros, and offered an apology for the 2018 MacBook Pro's keyboard woes.
